Certification of the condition of photovoltaic modules

Kmetrics is now capable, for the first time ever, of using the mobile PV module testing laboratory “Mobile PV Testcenter” to carry out inspections on PV modules at the installation or storage areas. Using the mobile PV module testing laboratory has now made possible the on-site testing of your modules, thus allowing you to verify the condition of your modules. Power measurements, are taken, and PV modules are tested using the electroluminescence method and inspected using thermographic imaging. Upon completion of the procedure, which takes less than two minutes per module, “Mobile PV Testcenter” generates a test certificate for each module, indicating the module frame number, its STC power according to IEC/EN60891, any possible micro-cracks on the cells or hotspots.

The test certificate include:

The frame number of each PV module tested.
The PV module type.
The inspection date and time.
The PV plant owner.
The STC power (Pmpp) according to IEC/EN60891.
The actual power to nominal power ratio of each PV module.
The duration of the inspection of each PV module.
The temperature.
Ο The number of cracked PV cells, also indicating the severity of the cracks.
The number of sound PV cells.
The settings used for the electroluminescence inspection.
The “Mobile PV Testcenter” operator.
The number of thermographic images.
The evaluation and classification of each PV module tested.

The Pmpp power, both as measured and as calculated in STC according to IEC/EN60891, the Umpp current and Umpp voltage, the short circuit current (Isc), the open-circuit voltage (Voc), the irradiation intensity (Irr) and the correction coefficients.
